New Teacher Welcome Breakfast a Huge Hit
There was a definite buzz in the air as more than 300 new teachers - and a crowd of at least 500 - filled Building G of the Ector County Coliseum for the second annual New Teacher Welcome Breakfast. Presented by the Odessa Chamber of Commerce and Chevron, businesses and organizations from through the community turned out to meet some of the school district's newest hires.
Lottery to be held for Permian High School season tickets
 
A couple of days remain to apply for the chance at a limited number of Permian High School football season tickets that will be awarded by lottery next week. The deadline to submit an application is Sunday, August 16 at 4:30 p.m.

Bike Building & Team Building 



The Crockett Middle School team did a little team building last week through bike building!

After receiving a donation of 10 bikes from Wal-Mart, the Crockett teams participated in an "Amazing Race"-type activity. The first team to fully assemble the bike won. Now the bikes will be used as incentives for their students. Well done, Colts!
