Registration

Summer Registration is now underway at all of our campuses. Check out our 2015-16 Registration Central webpage for this week's dates & times. Remember, this is just the beginning of the registration period. If you miss your school's published dates you can go anytime after that to register your child(ren).

Do you have your supplies?

The school supply lists for all of our elementary schools can be found at this link. Middle schools and high schools don't post supply lists ahead of time; during the first week of school teachers will let the students know what kinds of materials they will need for the year.

New incentive can push teachers' salary to $50,000

With the introduction of a new attendance incentive, a starting teacher in ECISD can earn more than $50,000. The incentive is for perfect attendance for ALL classroom teachers; they can receive $425 for perfect attendance during a six-week period. Perfect attendance for the entire year -- 6, six-week periods -- can earn an additional $2,550. Along with the retention incentive of $3,000 and the starting salary of $44,500 a starting teacher can make a maximum of $50,050 dollars.

Trustees approve naming of 3 facilities

At their meeting on July 21 Ector County ISD Trustees unanimously approved the naming of three district facilities. Those facilities are the soon-to-be-open tennis center at Permian High School in honor of former Panthers coach Pat Wikse; the field events area north of Ratliff Stadium in honor of former ECISD coach and athletic director Don Wright; and renaming the Advanced Technical Center on South Grandview as the Frost Bakery Advanced Technical Center. That building once was the Frost Bakery. These suggestions came from community members and were reviewed - and recommended - by a community facilities naming committee.
