On January 28 nearly 300 people spent some time looking at each of ECISD's 9 magnet school choices. The magnet school application period is now open and runs through April 1. This link  will let you see some of the scenes from the Magnet School Fair. This link will take you to the online magnet school application.

 


 

 

World Class Lessons

 

These four ladies make up the Cassatt String Quartet. Are you familiar with this highly-acclaimed ensemble? Did you know one of them is an ECISD grad? What brings them to Odessa for a full week again this year? Read more at this link 

 

School Board Elections in May

 

 

The time to file to run for a position on the school board is now through February 27. Anyone interested in running for election can pick up a candidate packet in Room 301 of the ECISD Administration Building. For information call 456-9509.

Early Release Day Coming Soon   

 

This is an important reminder for parents - we will have an Early Release day on Friday, February 13. This means all elementary students will be dismissed for the day at noon, and all secondary students will be dismissed for the day at 1:30 p.m. Faculty and staff members use the afternoon for a half-day of professional development. If your child attends ½-day pre-kindergarten please contact the school for details of how that will be handled.

    
This will be the first of three Early Release days in the spring semester. The others are April 17 and May 22.
