Returning to normal schedules
More than two weeks after John B Hood Junior High School closed because of a mercury exposure, the campus re-opened its doors on Thursday, April 3.
The majority of the campus is back on-line after air quality test results measured well below EPA mercury limits.

The exception is the 100-wing, the hallway at the front of the school that remained closed for an extra day awaiting air quality test results.

A timeline of the events and updates from the past two weeks is available here. as well as a short summary report from the Center for Toxicology and Environmental Health.

ECISD extends a great thanks to all the staff, students, parents and community for patience and understanding during this difficult period.
