New from One Nation Indivisible - Immigrant integration in Canada:   In matters of immigration and growing diversity, what might the United States learn from its neighbor to the north, Toronto, Canada?   Writer Lygia Navarro explores this question in her adopted city in Lessons From the Former Great White North: Living, Loving and Immigrating in the New Toronto. One Nation Indivisible is supported by PRRAC and the Charles Hamilton Houston Institute.

DC-area book talk:  We have invited NYU Sociologist Patrick Sharkey to discuss his important new book, Stuck in Place: Urban Neighborhoods and the End of Progress toward Racial Equality, which takes a new look at the intergenerational impacts of concentrated poverty, and implications for policy. The event will be at our office in DC on Wednesday, June 5 from 5:00-6:30;  Please RSVP to reserve your space.  Wine, snacks, and books-for-sale.  Co-sponsored by PRRAC, CLASP, and the Urban Institute.
