This amazing program is a chance for Keith Johnson to share the incredible science related to bubbles: how they work and what we can do with them.

Join us, to watch the mystery of bubbles unfold---you'll ooooh, you'll ahhh, you'll laugh---and you'll be glad you came!  Recommended for ages 5 and up.

A Year in the Life of a Honeybee Colony and its Beekeeper
Wednesday, August 7 at 7 PM

honeybee
Beekeper Birgit de Weerd takes you through the activities in and around a beehive with her slideshow, starting in January and ending in the fall with the honey harvest. She will also talk bout many of the pollen and nectar producing blossoms the bees visit on their foraging trips throughout the seasons, opening another gardening dimension and, maybe, setting the seed for the start of a most interesting hobby: becoming a beekeeper yourself.  Reserve your seat now!

ice cream Ice Cream Social
Thursday, August 8 from 2-4 PM
on the Town Green

Join us as we celebrate the end of the Summer Reading Program with an Ice Cream Social on the Town Green. Rumor has it that in keeping with our "Dig Into Reading" theme, there may be "dirt" and "worms" to sprinkle on your ice cream.

There will also be FACE-PAINTING, BUBBLES, BEANBAG TOSS, RAFFLES...and other activities.  Don't miss this final farewell to summer. Remember, if we reach our reading goal of 5500 hours, Miss Sarah and Miss Sue will be EATING CHOCOLATE-COVERED ANTS!

* In the event of rain, the celebration will be moved to the Community Room at the Congregational Church
.
Remember, the library is a happening place and your library card is your ticket to free books, magazines, music, movies, Internet access, enriching programs and much more!

Sincerely,
