The parade forms on the large common at 5:30 PM and begins at 6PM. The procession stops at 4 village cemeteries and monuments and concludes around 7PM with post-parade ceremonies on the large common.

Parade goes light-rain or shine; excepting thunderstorms.

It's a Party

itsaparty Spring is a time when so many wedding, shower, graduation and reunion invitations arrive in the mail. We look forward to the parties and festivities but are glad we don't have to plan them! However, if you ARE planning your own parties, find inspiration, the perfect wedding toast, or information on how to be the best bridesmaid or mother of the bride/groom in our current library display.  For those of you who don't have a party in your future - or who just love to party! - you can party vicariously by picking up a movie or book with festivities, weddings and galas as the main event.

Friends of the Library Seek Artists

The Friends of the Library are looking for artists to participate in our mid July through August art exhibit titled "The Inspiration of a Painting" at the Amherst Town Library. We are looking for paintings, drawings, hanging mixed media pieces that may have photos or conceptual drawings to show how a painting goes from inspiration to a finish piece. We plan to display simply protected and hangable photos and/or concept drawings with the finished framed art piece. We would love to see landscapes, still lifes, portraits, and all other subjects in this show. Please contact Sharron April at sharronapril@gmail.com or 672-8418 for more information.

Remember, the library is a happening place and your library card is your ticket to free books, magazines, music, movies, Internet access, enriching programs and much more!

Sincerely,

Amherst Town Library
