I miss you all so much!!! Perhaps the saddest aspect of this ordeal was missing Holy Week with you and all the special music. Many thanks to the choir and all who made it still happen! Thank you for cards and visits and prayers. I am doing well, post-surgery, although I am now Bionic Woman with many plates and screws. Therapy is going well and I hope to be home in a few days.

Sunday School Training

"Safeguarding God's Children"

Sunday school for students (K-5 grade) is up and running! We welcome anyone with an interest in teaching to join us Wednesday, April 13, 6-9 p.m. at the Parish House for "Safeguarding God's Children" training with Evelyn Manzella from the Diocese. This training is required for all Sunday school teachers. There is no charge, and a pizza supper will be provided. Please RSVP to Anna Duke Reach.

Don't miss this exciting event! The 3rd Annual "Talent Showcase" benefit for HopeNow Furniture Bank of Knox County will feature two dozen all-new performances by the top talents in Knox County. It will be held April 30 at 7:30 p.m. and May 1 at 3:00 p.m. in the Memorial Theater, 117 E. High St., Mount Vernon.

Tickets are available online at www.MTVArts.com, and at Paragraphs Bookstore and Foster's Pharamacy (in MV). Adults $10, kids to 8th grade $6.
