VITAMIN E
First line of defense: The SKIN...
As the first line of defense for the body, skin is especially vulnerable to various chemicals and pollutants that cause adverse effects on the texture, elasticity, and overall appearance of the epidermis. Studies of topical vitamin E suggest a wide variety of rejuvenating benefits-particularly for mature, dry, or sun-damaged skin.
Antioxidant power: Injury Prevention Found in nuts, olives, wheat germ, and more, vitamin E is celebrated for its potent antioxidant effects. Antioxidants protect cell membranes and tissues by neutralizing free radicals-damaging molecules produced by chemicals, pollution, and other environmental factors. Ongoing research is investigating the role vitamin E may play in the prevention and treatment of many diseases, including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, and degenerative age-related illnesses.

Arnica
(Arnica ) Arnica is a perennial herb that grows in Europe, the Northern United States, Asia, and Canada. Its daisy like flowers and rhizome roots are used in medicinal preparations. It has been used for medicinal purposes since the 1500s and is still popular today. Preparation are applied to the skin as a cream, ointment, liniment, salve, or tincture.
Arnica is promoted for use on the skin to help soothe and heal wounds, sunburn, bruises, sprains, sore muscles, irritation from accidental injuries and burns, arthritis, ulcers, acne, eczema, chapped lips, sore throat, and irritated nostrils. Arnica contains organic chemicals that are claimed to reduce the swelling, redness, and pain linked to inflammation. It is also touted to help heal bacterial infections. These qualities make arnica an effective agent to promote healing after laser care, microdermabrasion, and chemical peels.
As an herb, arnica is generally used only topically (on the skin) because it can cause serious side effects when taken by mouth
