Friday and Saturday, February 14 and 15 at 4:00 P.M. The non-profit Riverside Cemetery Conservancy will unveil a brand new guided walking tour, Feb. 14-15, from 4-5:30pm. Entitled North Gate Notables, the tour highlights interesting people interred in the section of Riverside Cemetery located across I-75 close to Ingleside Avenue. Stroll through our beautiful, historic North Gate section to learn about many of the fascinating people buried there. A few of these notables are William Fickling, Father of the Cherry Blossom Festival; Hazel Jane Raines, Georgia's First Lady of Flight; Twiggs Lyndon, Road manager for the Allman Brothers Band; Andreas and Margaret Anne Thornton Gruentzig, cardiologists who developed angioplasty.
