If weather is bad, never fear-we will keep you high and dry in the Macon Public Mausoleum. Follow event signs to parking attendants so you can park  near the site of the presentation.

A program on World War I will be presented by Rick and Mauriel Joslyn, historians and film-makers. There will be a presentation of wreaths from several of the lineage societies.  The names of veterans interred at Riverside Cemetery since November 11 of 2011 will be read aloud during the ceremony.   

   

Parking-Visitors should enter the cemetery at the corner of Madison Street and Riverside Drive and will be directed to park near the site of our proposed Veterans Memorial Plaza.

Daylight Photography Class 4:30 P.M.-6:30 P.M., Saturday, June 1

Learn basic photographic technique by daylight in our beautiful sculpture garden - Taught by members of Macon's premier family of photography-brothers George and Bob Coke of Coke's Camera Center.

 

Maybe you have attended our moonlight photography class, Full Moon Euphoria?  Maybe you wished for the opportunity to photograph our beautiful landscape and funerary art by day with some expert guidance? Here's your opportunity!

 

 4:30-5:00 registration, handouts and light refreshments

 5:00-6:30 instruction and practice with a live model as well as with statuary and landscapes

 

Charge for the class will be $15. Revenues benefit the cemetery.
