We're ready for some May flowers here along Lake Michigan.  Join in our anticipation of warm weather and sun.  We have books and DVDs to celebrate coming summer.  Your libraries are here to provide you with great reading, entertainment, information and education.  There are lots of  resources and programs available at both Ludington and Scottville libraries for everyone to join in.

 

Every month the libraries add hundreds of new books and DVDs to the shelves.  Click the 'NEW BOOK ALERTS' below to see just some of the new books and DVDs the library offers.   Visit the library and check them out or go online to reserve them.  Don't have time to come to the library?  MCDL's collection of downloadable eBooks, audiobooks, music and videos continues to grow.  Check out all the new titles at the library's UpNorth Digital Collection.  And if you love magazines then read your favorite titles (over 100) available at Zinio- with no check out or return you just download and read -  FREE.

 New Book Alerts 

Scottville Family Craft

Join us at the Scottville Library and bring your creativity Tuesday, April 2, 3:00-6:00 pm for Family Craft.  This month, create make your own bath salts and scrubs as a Mother's Day gifts.
Fabric Rose Craft Night for Adults  
            

Tuesday, May 7 at 6:00 pm crafters are invited to the Ludington Library to create fabric roses. This activity is open to adults only. Supplies are provided at no charge, but donations are appreciated.

No School Friday Fun 
    

Ludington students do not have school on Friday, May 24.  Kids can stay busy that day with No School Friday Fun at Ludington Library between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm
 
Have a blast with books, board games, video games, crafts, snacks and maybe even a movie.

Dig into Digital at the Libraries 
  

The Library continues to offer one-on-one instruction on using eReaders and audio devices with Library materials. Drop in Mondays any time between 10:00 am and 5:30 pm at Ludington Library to test drive top-selling devices and learn how to use the Library's FREE downloadable collection. 

 

If you are in the Scottville area, Chris is also available for digital help on Wednesday evenings between 5:30 and 7:30

 

If you already have a device and are looking for assistance, please bring a laptop, if possible, and the USB cable to connect your device to a computer.

Block Party Saturdays   
  

Children and their families are invited to a Block Party using Lego brand bricks every Saturday between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm, at Ludington Library.  Blocks will be provided by the library.  Children under age 3 are NOT invited to this event - there are many, many small parts that could be ingested.

sign language skills, including:

  • Go through our list of categories under "Browse Signs" to learn a group of related signs.
  • Use the printing feature to print sign flash cards to practice while you are away from your computer.
