IT BEGAN WITH FAITH AND COURAGE! Over the last 8 years we have grown in every area of ministry, leadership and life. Be the Gift is truly a living lesson of how God continues to shape and refine us all. 8 years ago my family and some close friends took a leap of faith to launch BTG. Over that span of time all of us at different times have held different titles and positions. So, let's talk about titles...if I may be so bold as to quote my favorite movie Brave Heart from 1995, "people don't follow titles, they follow courage". I am proud to say that our "Be the Gift" community which includes my family, leaders, volunteers & donors have been some of the most courageous people I know.
- It takes courage to give part of your life, time, talents, and money to change someone's reality.
- It takes courage to go into a single mom's home and believe you will impact the lives of her and her children.
- It takes courage to work as a team with others, some you know and other you don't to accomplish what a mom has been praying and believing for.
Courage has always changed lives and history, just consider our Biblical history (Moses, David, Sarah, Peter) our country's history (Washington, H. Tubman, King (MLK)) and our Christian History (Luther, Calvin, Graham and of course Mother Teresa) It's incredible what can happen to people who love God & follow the example of Jesus. I pray you all live a life of courage and become a history maker. As always feel free to join the community of Be the Gift, we can use your courage!

Your generosity enabled us to assist with home repair and support our families- their lives are changed and so are ours! We also met our "Match Challenge" on Colorado Gives Day. A TIME TO HONOR AND CELEBRATE
Holidays can be especially lonely and challenging for some of our Single Parent Families, so our desire is to make their Christmas special. We held two events & all the ladies and their children were given gifts. We had a lot of fun!
Our single moms say it best:
"2015 was a difficult year for us monetarily, emotionally and with many challenges. But our year has ended on a much better note. Meeting new friends from Be the Gift has been a blessing"
"Not only do we appreciate the gifts, you have truly shown my girls and I there are good people out there in the world. Good people who put others first". 
"I want to thank you for the Christmas luncheon! It was such a special time to be able to connect with some very impressive moms. Those conversations, along with the inspiration and pampering left me feeling incredibly encouraged, valued and revived, rather than the usual feeling of less-than. I can't tell you how nice it was to sit down to a delicious meal that I did not have to make or clean up after, and to sip a hot cup of coffee. That time of year can be so difficult, and knowing I'm not alone in the struggle, and receiving all the warmth and support really lifted my spirit throughout the season."
