Workshop on Wheels

Be the Gift is the recipient of the Rose Community Foundation "Innovate for Good Award". This award will fund our new Workshop on Wheels.

The trailers will visit our single mom home repair projects and be fully equipped with everything our team needs on project days. Having our tools and supplies in one place will greatly increase our productivity and enable us to accomplish much more at each project and ultimately help more single mom families.

RESTORATION:

One of our primary goals is restoration with implications both physical and emotional. We continue to see the "before and after" effects of our work.

BEFORE- a home that does not function well, is not safe, poses health risks, is broken and has esthetic issues. A Single Mom who may be broken, discouraged, overwhelmed, scared, lonely, disillusioned and sometimes desperate.

AFTER- a home that is fixed, attractive and a place where a family can grow.A Single Mom who has confidence and peace knowing her home is now a good environment to raise her children, believes that others care and can continue to strive and succeed in her own personal life.

We believe and witness transformation every week in the homes and the hearts of the Single Mom Families we serve. We are able to quickly see the physical result of our home repair. Here are a few pictures from a recent bathroom repair.

This is a situation as we have described before. The moms we are privileged to help want their home repaired they just do not have the time, expertise or money to fix a repair such as this... so they get by the best they can and "make do". Thanks to a great group of volunteers, thebathtub/shower is fixed, functions correctly and looks nice too.

Another bathroom in a mobile home that needed immediate attention as it is the the only bathroom for this family of 5.

This sweet grandmother is raising and providing a home for her four grandchildren.Our team did a great job of repairing the leaks and installing new fixtures, tile & flooring.
