We speak often of the delightful Single Moms we are privileged to help each and every week. We have yet to share the voices of the children we hear from who ask us to help their mom and family. Many are happy and well-adjusted yet there are those that if you read between the lines, you will understand the struggle and trials these families endure. We hear their needs and special concerns and are pleased to step into their homes and help impact their lives in a positive way!
Here are their words.:
MY MOM!
"She has always been the person helping and taking care of others"
"She is the best mom anyone could ever have... the house and backyard are driving her crazy and has not been able to do anything about it"
"My mother is very special to me. She works everyday making almost nothing. She always put us before herself. We always had new clothes for school growing up and never went without... she was the one who went without just to provide for us. She is my hero and is getting really tired"
"She works and runs around all day getting us to places. She is a workhorse devoted to us and she would die of happiness if someone took care of the broken things around the house for us"
"Even after working all day- my mom comes home with a smile on her face despite all the stress and struggles in her life"
"I love my mom....I see how hard she works to support us and keep up with managing our home inside and out. She makes sure we have everything we need. It's very hard for her with raising us but she never gives up. She inspires us to love the Lord....work hard and trust"
"My mom has been a single mom to me my whole life ( I am 13) with no help at all we have lots of bills and our house needs a lot of work
She deserved your help more than any mom I know"
"She does not get a lot of breaks and spends all her money toward bills and us kids- we don't have any money to hire out. It would touch her heart beyond words to know that someone would come and help our family"
"My mother has given up everything to have a safe place for us to live. My mom's says she feels stranded in this world and has no one to turn to"
"My mom has been a single mom for 3 yrs. now, my dad died of Leukemia. She has had a hard time with her life now. She is the best mom ever. I don't have much I can give her and I want her to have a GIFT that is awesome"
"My mom and I have been on a long difficult road keeping up with our house ever since my mom's car accident and brain injury"
"In the hardest times she was always there even when I pushed her away. She also shows me all the great things the Lord does every day in our life and I am so happy to have her in my life"
"It makes my mom sad when she looks at our house and yard and I want my mom to be as happy as possible"
"My mom is absolutely amazing. She always puts others needs in front of hers and works very hard with 3 jobs. She is extremely selfless"
"My mom recently divorced my dad because of emotional abuse. She has given me and my siblings so much and I want to return the favor in some way. There is so much to do and I can only help so much, I am young and cannot fix things"
"My mom always makes sure there is food on the table and roof over our family's head she can barely keep up with anything. She has helped me through a lot this past year"
