This quote is quite amazing and leads to what some call an "Ah Ha" moment and say, "now I see why". Of course looking back in life, we all have 20/20 vision. How many times have we said "if only I knew then what I know now". Oh the things we would have done differently. The idea of wanting to go back and have a second chance will never change, but what can change is how we see and do life in the moment. In fact we are all living in the moment, plus most of us are probably in the mist of some kind of quandary which leads us to ask...why?
It seems to me that living in the moment can change drastically if we stop asking the question "Why" and instead ask "Where". Instead of asking God why this is happening to me start asking God "where are you taking me"? Not looking back but looking forward. Not looking with apprehension and fear but looking with faith! How we see life may clear up in a hurry. Instead of the disappointment of our direction being rejected, could it simply be re-directed?
Meet Anna- a Single Mom of 2 active boys. Her story prompted our thoughts about re-direction.
Anna and her boys because of circumstances found themselves without a place to live. In her words, she felt alone and without anyone to turn to. She purchased a trailer home for $550 which was in a poor and unsafe condition as you might imagine at that price. She had reached out to everyone who would listen and was rejected each time she asked someone for help. She was desperate. Upon reading her request for assistance, our first thought was that the repairs and issues this trailer had were too serious for BTG to be able to do. However, God had a different plan. We know she was re-directed to us and because of His grace and the generous people of BTG, let's just say the story ends well!!

As with the quote above, even though she felt rejected by churches and organizations alike, her faith was strong and she worked incredibly hard doing everything she could personally do on her own. This project has been a situation without precedent for us. We involved a plumber, an electrician and many volunteers and in one weeks time, she and her boys had a safe functioning home. We have repaired and restored many homes for Single Moms, but this was the first time BTG was able to take a house that was basically unlivable and transform it into a livable home for this Mom to raise her family. Special thanks to all those who worked, prayed, helped and donated items to Anna and special thanks to each of you that support us financially as well, without your generosity we could not do what we do. We are very grateful.
