Wag More, Bark Less!

We recently saw a bumper sticker that read "Wag More, Bark Less". Isn't it amazing how such truths are so simple and yet catch the spirit of exactly what our Lord has been trying to convey to His people. What could be simpler to read and understand:

John 15:12 - 13

"This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.

Or Wag More, Bark Less!

Matthew 5:16...In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

Or Wag More, Bark Less!

Luke 3:10-11...And the crowds asked Him, "What then shall we do?" And He answered them, "Whoever has two tunics is to share with him who has none, and whoever has food is to do likewise."

Or Wag More, Bark Less!

Hebrew 13:16...And do not neglect doing good and sharing; for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

Or Wag More, Bark Less!

Matthew 5:43-44..."You have heard that it was said, you shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your father who is heaven".

Or Wag More, Bark Less!

Matthew 25:35-40...For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me. Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, Lord when did we se you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you? And the King will answer them, "Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me".

Or Wag More, Bark Less!

Mark 12:30-31...Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.

Or Wag More, Bark Less!

The action of love is what moves ones heart and changes lives.  Not only in those being helped, but also in those giving out.  Who knew a bumper sticker could say so much.  Have a great summer and keep on wagging!  Love and God Bless, Chris and Marilyn

Young  People Getting  Involved

Colorado University has a summer work community program Be the Gift has been part of the last 2 years.  This group of college students shared their energy, resources and day to assist Harriet with repairs.

They scraped and   scraped, helped in the yard and prepped her home for the next group that will come in a few weeks to paint.

The smiles on their faces say it. It is good to give.
