What's New at www.ecoplum.com July/August 2013 Newsletter
|
Greetings!
I hope you are having a wonderful summer. Here at EcoPlum, we have been focusing on fair trade issues over the past month. My blog post, entitled Fast Fashion has to Slow Down has gotten a bit of buzz, and was reprinted and featured on Triple Pundit and CSRHUB. Chryso wrote about fair trade beauty products, Silvia did a nice piece on fair trade jewelry, Dede covered celebrities singing for fair treatment of women workers, and I wrapped up the series on fair trade with an appearance on Green is Good Radio which aired on SiriusXM on August 3rd. In an interview with John Shegerian, I discussed fair trade products and mindful consumption. You can listen to the show now online at greenisgoodradio.com and send any comments to me at radio@ecoplum.com (and receive a coupon for 20% off in our online boutique!)
Enjoy the rest of the summer - hope you have a chance to spend some time at the beach, the lake, or wherever it is that you can relax and enjoy the beautiful weather. My "summer happy place" is Cape Cod, where I am right now. Take a look at this fabulous sunset I captured on my iPhone the other day:
Have a great August and we'll see you after Labor Day! Best regards, Gia Machlin President and CEO Please feel free to forward this newsletter to your friends and family!

"We curate products that we would want for ourselves," Machlin says of EcoPlum's product selectivity. "We like to work with companies that specialize in handcrafted and creative designs, and usually they have a great story to tell about their path to sustainability. We want to share that story with our readers and customers." - Hear more now.
