Provide input on physician-assisted death
The Government of Alberta is seeking input to help develop policies in response to the Supreme Court of Canada ruling that physician-assisted death will be a legal right in some cases as of June 6, 2016. We encourage all RNs and NPs to share their views through the online survey by March 31, 2016.

We are working with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta and the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta to create guidelines and resources related to end-of-life care and physician-assisted death. In the meantime, please follow the guidelines posted on our website.
