We need to remain engaged to achieve gender equality and representation in elected positions in Los Angeles. As you may recall, during the Looking Ahead session our speakers' experiences inspired discussion of concrete actions that volunteers can pursue through the following committees. The committees you can sign up through the survey above include:
- Donor Engagement
- Media Engagement (e.g. op eds, letters to editor)
- Succession Conversations/Establishment Changes (E.G. Political Parties)
- Public and Voter Education
- Volunteering for Campaigns
- Recruiting and Training Women to Run
Our goal is to form a coalition of women and men dedicated to increasing the numbers of women in elected office to work together strategically to create comprehensive change. We thank you again for joining us and we look forward to continuing to work together to reverse the trend, to encourage women to run, help them get elected, and, ultimately, ensure that critical legislation is passed, as a result.
