Here's what you need to know
The good news:
If you have a touch screen computer or want to purchase a touch screen computer, you will love Windows 8. It has the look and design of a tablet or smart phone and all the features are "touch screen friendly". It also worked well with the two laptops we upgraded. The operating system is fast. Internet Explorer 10 (this comes with Windows 8) is fast. You no longer wait for a program to "boot up", it just pops open. An upgrade only costs $39.99.
The bad news:
It's different. There is a learning curve. Change can be hard for some of us. Some programs and devices may not work with Windows 8.
