Meet the New Staff in TAE
Amigos is pleased to announce Rae Cheney as Trans-Amigos Express Manager. Rae began her role with TAE March 18. A graduate of the University of North Texas School of Library and Information Science, Rae has more than five years in community relations and customer service for Barnes & Noble, and most recently served as a middle school librarian in Dallas. Rae will be reaching out to TAE participants soon to learn more about their needs and workflows. In the meantime, we invite you to contact her at 800-843-8482, ext. 2827, or tae@amigos.org

FY2014 Pricing Forthcoming
Amigos will announce TAE/TExpress pricing for the next fiscal year by early or mid-July. For those already budgeting, we expect the price to increase no more than 5 percent. If you need a list of this year's prices for reference, please contact us.

Labels
Using the correct labels and completing those labels properly is the best way to ensure your packages arrive on time. Amigos is aware that some libraries use automated labeling for ILLiad or through other programs. However, if you cannot duplicate the information found on a standard TAE shipping label, it is best to forgo the automated labeling system and use the template provided. Use 3" x 4" non-adhesive name badge insert cardstock such as the Avery 5392 for the nylon bags and 3 1/3' x 4" adhesive shipping labels such as the Avery 5164 for envelopes and boxes. (read more...)

Change in Service
Effective immediately, Whitehouse Community Library is no longer a participating member. Packages for them will need to be sent by means other than the courier. Please update your records to reflect this change. The TAE Participant List has been updated as well.

Reporting Statistics
Please report your statistics every month. Amigos uses them to encourage participation in the courier program. For Texas participants, these statistics are important tools that TSLAC uses to persuade the Texas Legislature to continue its funding of the courier program. To submit your statistics, please access your participant page.
