MALA Procedures

On July 2, 2012, Trans-Amigos Express and the Mid-America Library Alliance (MALA) officially linked courier systems. All Trans-Amigos Express/TExpress libraries are now able to send and return ILL materials via the courier to all MALA libraries. The complete list of MALA libraries can be found on the TAE webpage: http://www.amigos.org/node/135. Please note that all MALA libraries can receive items from the courier, but some libraries can only send and return items via USPS mail. (read more...)

Reporting Lost and Damaged Items

If an item has been in transit for three weeks or longer, please use the form found on your library's participant page to report it missing. (read more...)

Address Change

Effective immediately, Howard Payne University (HPU) will be moved to the Abilene hub. Their new TAE shipping code is 31/ABI. Please update your records to reflect this change. The TAE Participant List has been updated as well: http://www.amigos.org/node/137 .

Survey Results

TAE/TExpress completed its Annual Customer Service Satisfaction Survey December 28, 2012. Results will be released in an upcoming issue of theExpress Gazette. Thank you to all who participated in the survey. Your feedback is greatly appreciated and will be taken into consideration as Amigos plans for the future of the courier service.

Reporting Statistics

Please report your statistics every month. Amigos uses them to encourage participation in the courier program. For Texas participants, these statistics are important tools that TSLAC uses to persuade the Texas Legislature to continue its funding of the courier program. To submit your statistics, please access your participant page at http://amigos.org/node/809.
