Library Spotlight: Harris County Public Library

Harris County Public Library (HCPL), a TAE/TExpress participant for more than a decade, serves more than one million people in Houston, Texas, and its surrounding suburbs.  Over the summer, Interlibrary Loan Assistant Vann Ath incorporated data from Mid-America Library Alliance (MALA) labels into the library's ILLiad system.  This has helped each branch of the library save time when processing items for MALA libraries.  Amigos interviewed Vann to learn more about this process and how the library utilizes the TAE/TExpress courrier service. FY2012 TAE/TExpress Customer Service Satisfaction Survey Forthcoming

Next month, the annual Trans-Amigos Express/TExpress Customer Service Satisfaction Survey will be electronically distributed to each institution's designated TAE/TExpress contact.  If your contact has changed, please advise Amigos at tae@amigos.org.  We hope to learn from your responses about the quality of the service you received last year and any suggestions for improvements in the service as we move forward.  Your input is invaluable and will help us shape the program to better meet your needs, so please take a few moments to complete the survey and return this important information to us.

Reporting Statistics

Please report your statistics every month. Amigos uses them to encourage participation in the courier program. For Texas participants, these statistics are important tools that TSLAC uses to persuade the Texas Legislature to continue its funding of the courier program. To submit your statistics, please access your participant page at http://amigos.org/node/135.
