Yoga in the Park

This free, outdoor yoga class is perfect for all levels (no experience needed) and is free and open to the public!

Please bring your own water bottle and yoga mat. Children under 18 should be with an adult guardian.

In case of rain, the free class will be moved to: Flow Yoga Studio, 421 George St., De Pere. Due to space, indoor classes will be limited to the first 25 participants.

Stephanie Klett, Cabinet Secretary with the Department of Tourism will be our keynote speaker! KELLER, Inc., a Design/Build General Contractor with offices in the Fox Cities, Madison, Milwaukee and Wausau announces the promotion of Elliot Bogdonovich to Assistant Project Manager. Bogdonovich has worked with Keller as an intern since May of 2013.  He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from UW Milwaukee in December of 2013.  As an Assistant Project Manager, he is responsible for assisting Keller's Sales/Project Managers and other departments. KELLER, Inc., a Design/Build General Contractor with offices in the Fox Cities, Madison, Milwaukee and Wausau announces the promotion of Tracy Huiting to Purchasing Agent. Huiting has seven years of experience with Keller which includes previous positions of Operations Administrative Assistant and most recently Accounts Payable Clerk.  As the recently promoted Purchasing Agent, she is responsible for the ordering of all materials for jobsites and inventory on hand. Integrys Energy Group, Inc. (NYSE: TEG) and the infrastructure equity investment fund BBIP (Balfour Beatty Infrastructure Partners LP) today closed on the sale of Upper Peninsula Power Company (UPPCO) to BBIP. This completes the asset transfer announced in January this year. To help ensure a smooth and seamless transition, Integrys is providing a number of support services to UPPCO under an 18-month transition services agreement. Bracewell & Giuliani LLP and Foley & Lardner LLP were primary outside legal advisors to Integrys Energy Group in this transaction. Rothschild Inc. served as BBIP's financial advisor for this transaction, and Baker & McKenzie LLP serves as its legal advisor. The Bank of Nova Scotia and RBC Capital Markets are jointly providing structuring and placement advice together with financing for the transaction. View full news release here.

2nd Annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb: Lambeau Field, 1265 Lombardi Avenue, Green Bay, 8am-12pm. Join Pierce Manufacturing Inc. on September 6th for the second annual 9-11 Memorial Stair Climb at Lambeau Field. Memorial stair climb events are in tribute to the 343 firefighters who gave their lives during the tragic events at the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. All funds raised benefit the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and the families of fallen firefighters. Ride to End Suicide: Pit Stop Bar and Grill, W1560 County Road KK, Kaukauna, 8:30am-3:30pm. Ticket Pricing: $20 per bike ($10 per passenger) Ride will start at the Pit Stop Grill and will lead riders to the Smiling Moose Salon & Grill in Osman, WI for an 1 hour break and then head back to The Pit Stop Bar and Grill. Proceeds benefit The Center for Suicide Awareness.

Bay Area Spoken Word Poetry Night: Barnes & Noble, 2498 Oneida Street, Green Bay, 7-9pm. A unique collaboration between Barnes & Noble and the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets features Marybeth Mattson, Singer/Songwriter/Poet. Marybeth will demonstrate spoken word poetry by performing poetry examples of her own. She will then conduct a workshop, providing exercises that illustrate key elements of writing a simple, one-stanza spoken word poem. The event is free and open to all ages. Enjoy Marybeth's unique brand of musical entertainment, punctuated with performance poetry.

Belly to Baby Expo: St. Mary's Roller Rink, 1265 Cass Street, Green Bay, 12-3:30pm. To raise awareness during Birth Empowerment Week, the Belly to Baby Expo is a free one stop shop for all your pregnancy and family needs. The Belly to Baby Expo is a grassroots effort to bring local businesses and community resources to expecting mothers and their growing families in the Green Bay Area. Evolve Yoga studio will be doing a free prenatal yoga demonstration from 3-3:30 the day of the expo. Showcasing 49 local resources and businesses in our community .

US 41 Project 
Lane Closures 
September 2nd-5th 


Drivers should anticipate various overnight single lane closures on southbound and northbound US 41 along the entire Brown County corridor from south of Glory Road to Lineville Road. Lane closures can vary along the corridor, so drivers are urged to stay alert, pay attention to road signs, slow down and use caution when entering any work zone. The US 41 Project plans to have at least one lane of traffic open at all times on both northbound and southbound US 41 during construction. This does not include closures by local authorities for accidents or unusual incidents (such as weather).

Lineville Road 60 day closure

 

Lineville Road (County M) interchange, including the Lineville Road bridge, will be CLOSED for 60 days starting Monday, August 18th. Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes as early as 12am Monday morning. The interchange will be shut down for a maximum of 60 days.  

 

The closure includes:

  • US 41/Lineville Road interchange ramps
  • Lineville Road between West Deerfield and Lakeview Drive (County Road J)
  • Lineville Road intersection with West Deerfield Avenue
  • Lineville Road intersection with East Deerfield Avenue (note: only East Deerfield Avenue will be able to cross Lineville Road. East Deerfield will remain open for access to local businesses).

Alternate routes:

  • Use Lakeview Drive or County B as an alternate route across US 41.
  • USe County B and Velp Avenue interchanges for access to and from US 41 (note: Velp Avenue could experience heavy delays if used as an alternate route).

 

60-Day Packerland/Cardinal Lane Closure


Packerland Drive, including the WIS 29 exit-ramps to Packerland Drive, will CLOSE on Tuesday, September 2nd for up to 60 days to reconstruct the Packerland Drive/Cardinal Lane interchange. Packerland Drive/Cardinal Lane will be CLOSED between Holly Way and Duck Creek Parkway (Formerly Dousman Street). This new intersection will feature roundabouts at both ramp terminals and a roundabout at County RK and Packerland.

Elmburst Avenue/Cardinal Lane intersection will also CLOSE on Tuesday, September 2nd for construction of a roundabout. WisDOT will maintain a one-lane connection between Cardinal Lane and Duck Creek Parkway during the construction of the roundabout. Access to residents and businesses will also be maintained from Duck Creek Parkway throughout the closure. Oneida Street

The following ramp will be closed:
  • Northbound US 41 on-ramp from Oneida Street will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday from 7pm to 6am.

WIS 172

 

The following ramps will be closed:

  • Westbound WIS 172 to northbound US 41 ramp will be closed NIGHTLY on Tuesday through Friday from 7pm to 7am.
    • WIS 172 traffic seeking northbound US 41 will be detoured off at Pilgrim Way, take Pilgrim Way east to Ashland Avenue, follow Ashland Avenue north to Lombardi Avenue, and take Lombardi Avenue west to northbound US 41.
  • Northbound US 41 to WIS 172 ramp will be closed NIGHTLY on Tuesday through Friday from 6pm to 6am.
    • Northbound US 41 traffic seeking eastbound WIS 172 will be detoured off at Ashland Avenue, take Ashland Avenue north to Vanderperren Way and take Vanderperren Way west to eastbound WIS 172 entrance ramp.
    • Northbound US 41 traffic seeking westbound WIS 172 will follow Ashland Avenue to Pilgrim Way and take Pilgrim Way to westbound WIS 172.

Lombardi Avenue

 

The following ramp will be closed:

  • Northbound US 41 on-ramp from Lombardi Avenue will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday from 7pm to 6am.

Velp Avenue

 

The following ramp will be closed:

  • Northbound US 41 on-ramp from Velp Avenue will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday from 6pm to 6am.
    • Velp Avenue traffic seeking northbound US 41 will be detoured on Velp Avenue east to Atkinson Drive, follow Atkinson Drive north to northbound I-43 and take northbound I-43 to northbound US 41.
