Knights on the Fox" Summer Concert Series

  •  

"Knights on the Fox," returns this year for its twelfth season.The five-week series will be held on the St. Norbert College campus behind the Ray Van Den Heuvel Family Campus Center. The concerts will take place on Tuesday evenings beginning July 8 and ending with the last show on August 5. All five concerts are free and open to the public.  The series features musical performers and a picnic atmosphere. Sandwiches, snacks, bottled water and soda will be available for purchase or you can carry in your own picnic. The picnics begin at 5 p.m., followed by the concerts from 6:30-8 p.m.

The docks at the Thompson marina will be open for those who wish to come by boat. Ample parking is also available in the lots off of Third Street, with handicapped parking in the lot near Old St. Joseph Church.

Event at Concordia University Wisconsin - Green Bay Center

HR professionals will make presentations of interest to those wanting to further their careers or enhance their workplace visibility. Concordia's Green Bay Center staff will also be on hand to provide tours of the campus and provide information on the degrees and programs available at the Green Bay Center.

Yoga in the Park

This free, outdoor yoga class is perfect for all levels (no experience needed) and is free and open to the public!

Please bring your own water bottle and yoga mat. Children under 18 should be with an adult guardian.

In case of rain, the free class will be moved to: Flow Yoga Studio, 421 George St., De Pere. Due to space, indoor classes will be limited to the first 25 participants.

The free event will take place August 16 from noon to 3 p.m. and will feature tabling and product demonstrations from several local and national retailers, as well as mall-wide discounts and samples.

2014 4-H Centennial Celebration: 11am, Brown County Fair Association, 1500 Fort Howard Avenue, De Pere. Come celebrate the 100 years Brown County 4-H has been growing pigs, doing STEM projects, and positively growing youth development. Come hang out with 4-H friends from your childhood years. Brown County 4-H is trying to make the largest Human Clover at 2:30 which will be preserved in an aerial photo. The daylong event will occur at the Brown County Fair (1500 Fort Howard Avenue, De Pere, WI, 54115) on August 17th, 2014 from 11:00am to the end of the 4-H Reunion and Reception starting at 3:30.

US 41 Project 
Lane Closures 
August 11th-15th  


Drivers should anticipate various overnight single lane closures on southbound and northbound US 41 along the entire Brown County corridor from south of Glory Road to Lineville Road. Lane closures can vary along the corridor, so drivers are urged to stay alert, pay attention to road signs, slow down and use caution when entering any work zone. The US 41 Project plans to have at least one lane of traffic open at all times on both northbound and southbound US 41 during construction. This does not include closures by local authorities for accidents or unusual incidents (such as weather).

21 Day closure and 60-day closures at Shawano interchange

The northbound US 41 exit ramp to eastbound Shawano Avenue will close for a maximum of 21 days starting Monday, July 28th. Shawano Avenue from Taylor Street to Packerland Drive and all other Shawano interchange ramps closed July 7 for 6o days.

WIS 29 detour is as follows:
  • Westbound WIS 29 will be detoured at Military Avenue, take Military south to Mason Street and Mason west to US 41 northbound and follow US 41 northbound to the new WIS 29 westbound flyover ramp.
  • Eastbound WIS 29 will be detoured south on US 41 to WIS 172, take WIS 172 eastbound to I-43 southbound to the WIS 29 exit.

Full Closures

Drivers can anticipate an overnight FULL CLOSURE of southbound US 41 between Lombardi Avenue and westbound WIS 172 on Thursday from 9pm to 5am.
  • Traffic will be detoured off at Lombardi Avenue, take Lombardi Avenue east to Ashland Avenue and follow Ashland Avenue south to soutbound US 41.

The following ramp will also be closed:

  • Southbound US 41 on-ramp from Lombardi Avenue will be closed on Thursday from 7pm to 6am.

In addition, northbound US 41 between Ashland Avenue and Lombardi Avenue will have an overnight FULL CLOSURE on Friday from 9pm to 5am.  

  • Traffic will be detoured off at Ashland Avenue. Take Ashland Avenue north to Lombardi Avenue and follow Lombardi Avenue west to northbound US 41.

The following ramps will also be closed:  

 

  • Northbound US 41 on-ramps from Main Avenue and Oneida Street will both be closed on Friday from 7pm to 6am.
  • Northbound US 41 on-ramp from westbound WIS 172 will also be closed on Friday from 7pm to 6am.
    • Traffic will be detoured off at Pilgrim Way. Take Pilgrim Way east to Ashland Avenue and follow Ashland Avenue north to Lombardi Avenue, take Lombardi Avenue west to northbound US 41.

WIS 172

 

Eastbound WIS 172 between Ashland Avenue and US 41 will have single lane closure on Monday and Tuesday from 6pm to 6am. The following ramp will also be closed:

  • Southbound US 41 off-ramp to eastbound WIS 172 will be closed on Monday and Tuesday from 8pm to 6am.
    • Traffic seeking eastbound WIS 172 will be detoured south on US 41 to Oneida Street. Take Oneida Street east to northbound US 41, and follow northbound US 41 to eastbound WIS 172.

Lineville Road

 

Northbound and southbound US 41 at Lineville Road will be closed on Tuesday from 9pm to 5am. Traffic will be detoured off at Lineville Road, continue across Lineville Road and re-enter Us 41 via the entrance ramp. In addition, Linevile Road between the US 41 ramps will be closed from 9pm to 5am.  

 

Local Roads

  • Northbound and southbound Cardinal Drive between Riverview Drive and Shawano Drive will be reduced to a single lane starting at 7pm on Friday, August 8th through 5am, Monday, August 11th.
  • Ramada Way between Parkview Road and Oneida Street has a FULL CLOSURE. Access to local businesses on Ramada Way will be maintained.
