Pathways to Leadership at De Pere at Dawn
De Pere's Premier Morning Networking Event Goes Personal! The Personal "Path to Leadership" that is!
Are you are an emerging, high potential or mid-level leader from any private, public, or not-for-profit organization wishing to understand and enhance your personal leadership style so that you can improve your overall performance? Are you a business owner or manager with promising staff? Many business owners and managers give little thought to staff education. They do not think it is part of their role, or if they do, they never have time to get around to it or have a "large enough" budget for it. If you have not given staff development much thought or think it does not affect your practice or patients, this article is for you. You have an important role in staff development: establishing its priority, encouraging it by example, and supporting it in your attitude and budget. The truth is that if staff education and development are not a priority for the owners and managers, they will not be a priority for anyone under them. The DPACC Summer Path to Leadership Series is a cost-effective, time-respectful program. 90 minutes a month for 2 months and early in the day to interfere very little with your business day. 2 topics will be covered each month. When: Wednesday, May 14th Time: 7:30-9am Where: Rennes Health and Rehab Center 200 S. 9th Street De Pere (across from De Pere Post Office)

Historic Preservation Committee Exciting Announcement!
After an intensive survey funded by a Federal government grant, 26 commesrcial properties in De Pere have been placed on the National Register of Historic Places. Each will have a placque like those installfed recently at the Union Hotel, Ameriprise and the old De Pere Library. Each placque tells the name of the original owner and the year the building was built. The placques were paid for in a cooperative effort between the building owners and the City of De Pere. The National Register is maintained by the U.S. Department of the Interior. Properties listed on the Register must go through a 17 step process that involves identification, documentation and evaluation. It is an honor that De Pere has earned this very prestigious designation. This project was carried out by De Pere's Historic Preservation Commission acting on behalf of the City of De Pere. With the closing of the De Pere Journal, I feel it is important that news of this nature is made available not only to residents who are committed to historical preservation, but to all who live in our town. Please join me in thanking the De Pere Historical Preservation Commission for their continuing efforts to preserve and showcase our irreplaceable local treasures.
