Greetings!

This week is another week that you will need to get our your umbrellas and rain boots! Since you are stuck inside, why not go ahead and organize your office to make it more efficient for you and less cluttered!!

Here are some tips on how to do that:
  1.  Need vs. want. Get rid of anything in your office that you don't need or want. This includes going through those mountain high top paper piles on your desk and either shredding them or filing them away in their rightful spot. The most important thing is to go through you office and give everything it's own spot that isn't your desk.
  2. To be fixed or not to be fixed. If something in you office is broke, decide whether you will use it if you get it fixed or not. If you will, then get it fixed, if you won't then it is time to toss it!
  3. Label, label, label. Label everything - that way you can organize it more easily once you are organized and find things easier.
  4. File more often. Have a bin in your office that needs to be filed. At make sure to schedule a time in your calendar when you will file everything from that basket.
  5. Time to move on. If you are done with a project, organize it into a folder or a binder and file it away.
  6. Sort that mail.  Sort mail as soon as you get it - To act, To read, To file, To delegate or hand off.
  7. De-clutter those supplies. Put items used together in the same drawer space, stamps with envelopes, sticky pads with notepads, and staples with staplers Use drawer organizers for little items, like pens, erasers, paper clips. Use a separate drawer entirely for personal items.
  8. Binders are your friend! Create binders for each committee that you have. In those binders break them down by meeting. Then keep all that information close by but not directly on your desk.

Have a wonderful week!
