Greetings!

Your newsletter editor, Alicia, is recovering this week from surgery so you get me!  Hopefully, she'll be back next week (I know you hope so too!!)

She has been doing such a great job giving you organizational tips, I feel like I'm repeating, but I'll give you my favorite two:

  1. End each day (and each week) with a look at tomorrow.  I have my "Six Most Important Things to Do Tomorrow" list at the end of each day for the next day (on Friday for the next week).  It lets me sit down and start focusing on the most important things to get done rather than getting distracted by the day I walk in to.  Distractions are a fact of business life, but if you can minimize their impact by having YOUR focus preset, it can make a tremendous difference in your productivity. ~thanks to Mary Kay Ash~
  2. Handle each piece of paper (or electronic communication) as few times as possible.  I strive to only handle each thing twice at most, preferably only once.  Read and address it OR set it aside to deal with it the next time (or delegate it to the person who will handle it).  If you find yourself shuttling it around, stop and just deal with it.  Not only are these items time-wasters, they are also tremendous mental distractions.  Set time each day (or at least 3 times per week) to "deal" with straggling items.  They'll get done and you'll feel better!

Sending you wishes for peace, grace and the blessings of forgiveness given and received this Holy Week.

Have a wonderful week!

Cheryl

P.S.  As you may know, we have been having ongoing problems with our emails - both incoming and outgoing - not getting where they belong.  Unfortunately, neither side has known when there is a problem.

This week we are changing our email system.  It *should* be seamless, but ... well ... we will have our fingers crossed!
Every member gets an ad with membership?

If you are a member of the DPACC, have you completed your 300 character business description of your business?  Have you updated it in the last 90 days?

This is a benefit of membership and alone more than pays the cost of your membership the very first time you complete it!  Make sure your business listing includes this description.  145 people per day visit our business directory (on average), make sure they find out more about your business than just your name, contact information and business category!
