Greetings!
Does your desk look like this woman's? Don't feel bad, most do!! But, did you know that your messy desk is taking time out of your day and making you feel stressed? Don't fear!! You are on the track to maintaining momentum this year and part of that is getting organized!! A huge step in being organized is having your desk be that way! Here are some tips to help you decide what should stay on your desk, what should be in drawers at your desk, and what just needs to go!
1. Put Away The Supplies: If you aren't using a supply that is on your desk constantly, then it needs to find itself a drawer. 2. Get On Top Of The Paper: It is likely that the craziness on your desk has everything to do with piles of papers. Go through those papers, decide what needs to be kept (file it) and what can be recycled or shredded. The best thing you can do for yourself is not to make more piles but to file it, recycle it, or shred it as you are going through the papers. 3. Stop The Cord Madness: Let me guess, you have dozens of cords tangled together around your desk! It is like you are being attacked by a monster that just keeps taking over! Did you know that there are gadgets that can keep those cords organized? Visit your local Office Depot ASAP!! If you don't have time use twist ties to separate them from each other. Also consider putting a label somewhere on that cord so you know where that label is going to. 4. Who Really Needs 34 Pens on Their Desk?!: Seriously!! You probably only need three pens on your desk (a black pen, red pen, and blue pen). The rest of them need to find a place in a drawer. 5. Use Bins on Your Desk to Prioritize: Only have a few bins on your desk that are the most important things that you need to do. Everything else should not be on your desk. 6. Stop Using Post-Its as a Reminder Tool: Post-its only create more chaos. Use that one calendar I talked about last week to write down all of your reminders and to-dos. 7. Re-organize at the End of Each Week: While you are going over your progress and making your plan for next week. Re-organize your desk to fit your needs for next week. This will help you feel less stressed over the weekend. You will know that when you come in Monday morning that your desk is clean and ready for you to get to work and not have to deal with the chaos of clutter! Good luck on organizing your desk!! It may take you some time, but I promise you it will be more than worth it. Have a wonderful week!

Community News
Wisconsin Public Service (WPS) reports that as of the end of February 2014, nearly 26,000 of its customers were four months or more behind on their utility bills. Customers could face disconnection of their utility service after April 15, 2014 unless they make prior payments or arrangements. State law bars utilities from disconnecting residential service from November 1 to April 15 annually. WPS reports that the number of customers past due is slightly higher than last year but the amount they owe is substantially higher because of the colder winter. View full news release here. A listening session will be held on the following date in reference to the deer population in the City of De Pere. Anyone interested may attend. The presentation will take place at: Community Center - Lower Level 600 Grant St. De Pere, Wisconsin 54115 April 8, 2014 at the following time: 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
