Greetings!
Happy March!!
In this week's newsletter in the road construction block, not only is there information about this week's road closures, but there is also a breakdown of the US 41 Project 2014 construction plans. It gives a nice idea on what to expect this year in Brown County.
In this week's newsletter there are also lots of great events! To have your event is the "This Week's Area Events" block, send the name of the event, time, date, location, location address, short description, cost, and contact information for the event to me at alasecki@deperechamber.org. If you are a member of our Chamber, your event will have a featured block, instead of being in the "This Week's Area Events" and will be also listed on our website, on our event calendar. To learn more on how to do that, feel free to send an email my way as well. Any announcements of events or press releases of events can also be sent to me and they will be listed in the "Community News" section that week. Press releases are also sent out on to on our social media.

US 41 construction projects for 2014
Work will be the largest single-year of construction for the US 41 Project
(Green Bay) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) NE Regional Office in Green Bay is providing a listing of construction projects scheduled for the US 41 Project in 2014 in Brown and Winnebago County. Please note the 2014 US 41 Project construction season will be the largest, single-year of scheduled construction for the entire US 41 Project. This list includes only projects funded by the US 41 Project. The US 41 Project work in 2014 is concentrated on improvements in Brown County, north of Glory Road. As construction for the 2014 season begins, the US 41 Project would like to remind drivers to slow down and drive safe in construction work zones.
The flyover ramps at the US 41/WIS 29 interchange will be operational this summer, and placement of flyover ramps for the US 41/I-43 system-to-system interchange will begin in early 2014. Numerous interchanges, overpasses, bridges and ramps will also see construction. Winnebago County has US 41 Project construction on two overpasses. Completion of work at County GG and Y will complete all US 41 Project work in Winnebago County. The total cost for the US 41 Project is $1.5 billion dollars. Of that, roughly $975 million is being spent in Brown County.
Be advised that schedules are subject to change on short notice. There are many sources for updated construction information. The US 41 Project lane closures and traffic restrictions report is released every Friday to the media and on US 41 website at www.us41wisconsin.com. You can also sign up to receive this report via email. Daily lane closure and traffic updates will be sent via the US 41 Project's Facebook and Twitter sites. Site-specific construction progress will also be available in WisDOT's weekly northeast construction media release, distributed every Friday. You can also find US 41 Project site-specific construction updates on the US 41 website under "Traffic & Closures."
All work is weather dependent!
