Greetings!

This week's De Pere at Dawn is discussing Financial Fitness and looking at your 2013 year but also looking forward to your 2014 year. I would like to focus on how to set yourself up for financial success this year. The biggest thing you can do is to set small reachable and attainable goals. Try focusing on just the following five things:
  1. Display your goals. This way you can keep your eye on the ball. Write down your most pressing financial goals. Perhaps you want to pay down debt, start saving, or increase your marketing efforts. Make your goals as specific as possible. Then put your list of goals in a visible place.
  2. Have a detailed plan. Prioritize your goals by the most important, the easiest to achieve, or the most important for your business's long term growth. Once you have set up that plan, detail how you are going to achieve that specific goal.
  3. Keep an eye on market changes. Take a look at the trends in your industry to see if your future goals are realistic.
  4. Anticipate what growth will bring you. If you grow you may need to hire more staff, buy new equipment, or stock up on supplies. Keeping these new expenses in mind will help you set up reasonable goals and expectations for your company.
  5. Cut those extra expenses. To free up funds to fuel growth, figure out where you can reduce costs. Look at what you are paying for each area of your business. Are there areas where you can reduce or eliminate? If so, identify those areas and do so.

Have a wonderful week!!

US 41 Project Lane Closures February 10-14

Drivers should anticipate various overnight single lane closures on southbound and northbound US 41 along the entire Brown County corridor from south of Scheuring Road to Lineville Road. Lane closures can vary along the corridor, so drivers are urged to stay alert, pay attention to road signs, slow down and use caution when entering any work zone. The US 41 Project plans to have at least one lane of traffic open at all times on both northbound and southbound US 41 during construction. This does not include closures by local authorities for accidents or unusual incidents (such as weather).

Local Roads

On Monday, February 10, drivers can expect a full overnight closures of Parkview Drive between Market Street and Ramada Way from 6pm to 6am.
