Good Friday afternoon everyone!

Hope this week has treated you well.

Today I bring you my promised post from last week's De Pere at Dawn.  Getting the video parsed down and uploaded was a process.  *long process*.  Unfortunately, we don't have the full segment from Daren Allen, the final presenter because there was a video failure.  We had part of it, but decided not to post only that segment since it was jarring.

I will post this with each presenter's identifying information and a link to their PowerPoint presentation as well as the video link at YouTube (except for Daren).  In a future post, I will link to an upcoming edition of Wisconsin Eye featuring a town hall with J.P. Wieski that will have the most current information.

Summary statement?  Wow was it a great great panel.  "Best ever" in the words of one of our guests.  With no further ado: check the videos out here!!

Have a wonderful weekend!! AND GO PACK GO!!!

Earlier, Wisconsin Public Service (WPS), a subsidiary of Integrys Energy Group (NYSE: TEG), announced that it is forecasting a need for replacement power by 2019. The company indicated it had already started the process because of the long lead time in siting, gaining approval for, and building a generating unit that could meet its needs. WPS is also in the preliminary stages of formulating its plan to request bids from others who would sell the company the power needed in 2019 in either short- or long-term contracts. Good old-fashioned family fun is the theme of this year's Ledgefest to be held on Saturday, Sept. 28 at Olde School Square.Children's activities and games, a farmers' market, bounce houses, food court, petting zoo, and live music by Fat Brass, are just some of the activities that will be featured. New this year is the WowBall™, a giant inflatable ball floating in 5,000 gallons of water. People of all ages run, fall, walk and roll on the surface of the water while inside the transparent bubble. The community celebration will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Olde School Square, 2200 Dickinson Rd., just west of the roundabout intersection of CTH-GV (Monroe Rd.) and CTH-G (Dickinson Rd.) near Ledgeview Park. Trick or Treat with the Chamber
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 In masks and gowns,
they will "haunt" the streets,
and knock on doors for trick or treats!!
It's that spooky time of year when little ones again don their favorite costumes and visit De Pere businesses for "tricks or treats." The De Pere Area Chamber of Commerce's Trick or Treat event is scheduled for Saturday, October 26, 2013 from 10am until 12 noon. Kids (and parents) love this event. In preview years, businesses reported ranges of 50 to 400 little goblins stopping by for treats! Of course, this also means potential adult customers get a "peek" into your business.
If you are interested in participating in this festive event for De Pere families, please complete the form below and return it to the chamber office no later than Friday, October 4, 2013. When flyers are ready we we will contact you to let you know when to pick up.
Businesses returning the form by the deadline* will receive the following:
  • A poster promoting this trick or treating event that you can display in your window to welcome all little trick or treaters into your business.
  • Your business listed on all promotional flyers and inserts distributed by De Pere banks and area businesses.
  • Flyers identifying all participating businesses that each business can hand out to customers.
  • Your business identified in press releases submitted to local papers promoting the event.
If you have any questions, please call 338-0000. We hope you will join in this fun event!!
