From the Executive Director

Dave Feldman
Dave Feldman
I love November. Not only is it my birthday (11/11 in case you missed it), but the weather is turning and the season is clearly changing.

Bethesda, too, is transitioning. Look around. This is not the Bethesda of just 10 years ago as development surges and demographics shift.

So Bethesda Green must change to meet the evolving needs of our community, and the time is right to look to the future. We just celebrated our fifth anniversary at our recent Gala (check out the Gala Highlight Reel and our widely circulated Green Brothers Video that launched the awards ceremony).

We are wrapping
up a three-year strategic plan and will soon announce our next three-year plan.

Some things will stay the same. We will continue to stimulate next generation businesses and solutions through our incubator. We will still raise awareness on important issues and inspire action through innovative programs, digital media and our education center.

And some things will change. We have some exciting new ideas in the works to do more to "green" Bethesda. New partners, new projects and new opportunities to get involved. We'll fill you in early in 2014.

Everywhere I go, people tell me how much they appreciate what we do and how we are breaking new ground. It's so gratifying, but the truth is that we simply can't do what we do without you.

The hardest part of my job is asking for help, especially funding. But we can't exist without it...so here goes.

If you care about Bethesda Green and want to us to continue our important work, then please consider joining our growing community of supporters with a contribution. We are truly making a difference in this region and inspiring others to do the same. We are lean (not mean!) and every dollar goes straight to pursuing our mission.

In this season of giving thanks, we thank you for being part of our community.
Energy Dynamics

New company joins Bethesda Green Business Incubator

Energy Dynamics designs and manufactures innovative products that conserve energy, reduce pollution and minimize waste. Energy Dynamics devices capture and store wasted energy in the electrical system and then recycles it on demand. The devices maximize the efficiency of electrical system utilization at commercial, industrial and residential facilities, yielding savings of between 6-12% on energy consumption. Typical return on investment is between 18-30 months.

In addition, Energy Dynamics conducts facility energy audits to identify areas where energy consumption can be curtailed in order to maximize energy efficiency.
