Dual Agency is now OK for FHA Pre-Foreclosures
In a victory for NARŪ, FHA has released a Mortgagee Letter (2014-15) that preserves dual agency arrangements in FHA short sales, although the properties must be listed for at least 15 calendar days before any offers are evaluated. FHA last year had issued a policy prohibiting dual agency arrangements for pre-foreclosure sales, but NARŪ worked with the agency to get that modified.
