President's Message

2014 President
Dorothea Bello

"Why should I care about future generations?"  Groucho Marx once famously remarked.  "What have they ever done for me?"

Marx's quip encapsulates my challenges as your 2014 President - how doe we as an association balance the needs of today's member versus those who have served for 10, 20, and even 40+ years, and those who are seeking a real estate license?  And, throw into that mix real estate consumers who are as diverse as the membership itself.

Planning Done: Measuring the QM Rule's Impact

house-icon-blue.gif The qualified mortgage (QM) rule was implemented in January of 2014. 2013 Was a Great Year for Housing, According to NJAR®

Sold!

The December 2013 housing market report from the New Jersey Association of REALTORS® shows that over the course of the year, the housing market proved to be strong. There are still fewer homes to comprise the total state inventory, but new properties came on the market in greater numbers than during 2012, so if that continues, 2014 will see a well-balanced market.  Read More...
