Consolidation Update

As you may know...

Over the years, RealSource has had several discussions with

Eastern Bergen Board of REALTORS® to discuss the prospect of a consolidation of our two boards.

This year we took those preliminary discussions a step further.

Our Board members, together with our accountant and board attorney, worked diligently to outline the advantages of a merger, and how those advantages would benefit you, our membership.

The Board of Directors voted at the annual meeting on Sept. 26, 2013, NOT to continue with the consolidation process.

We wish to thank the Board of Directors for the many hours trying to form this new entity, and the hard work and dedication involved in the decision.

We are excited about the new year ahead and the strides our association will be making in 2014. Rest assured, we value our members and will continue to keep your best interests a part of our continuing progress.

If real estate is your profession, than politics is your business. As Realtors we firmly believe in this. RealSource is assembling a database of members who hold any elected or appointed office in any level of government - no matter at what level or position. If you have any connection with anyone in that capacity, we would like to know that also. We will use this resource to guide us whenever issues that affect our business surface. The process runs more smoothly when you know how the system works and some of the players. We will not ask for favors - just advice. Please help us as we work to promote Realtor issues.
