We Need Your Help in Protecting Your Ability to Provide Services to Your Clients!
What is happening? A major piece of legislation is under consideration in the New Jersey General Assembly on Monday, June 24 that is critical to our industry! Assembly Bill 3718/Senate Bill 2551 clarify once and for all that a BPO and CMA are synonymous terms, and real estate licensees may continue to provide this service, as we have for over 30 years.
What can I do? Please support the New Jersey Association of REALTORS® in getting Assembly Bill 3718/Senate Bill 2551 passed, which would clarify that real estate brokers, broker-salespersons and salespersons can prepare Broker Price Opinions/Comparative Market Analyses (BPOs/CMAs).
How can I help? It's easy, and will only take about a minute!

 The REALTOR® of the Year Award is one of the highest forms of recognition that can be bestowed upon a REALTOR®. The award is designed to honor those who have contributed to the advancement of his/her community and the REALTOR® profession. A selection committee will select one RealSource REALTOR® of the Year, and their application will be submitted to NJAR® for consideration for the NJAR® REALTOR® of the Year Award.
If you know someone who would like to nominate for this honor, please complete the Nomination Form and return it to RealSource no later than JULY 15.

This May Be the Last Year to Apply for REALTOR® Emeritus Status after 40 Years , Next Year You May Need 50 Years of Membership to Apply!
 It is likely that this is the last year that REALTORS® can apply for Emeritus status after 40 years of REALTOR® membership. New year, NAR® may change the Emeritus requirement from 40 years of membership to 50 years of membership. If you have been a REALTOR® for 40 or more years and have not yet applied for Emeritus status, please contact RealSource as soon as possible so we may assist you with the application process.
Notice from the New Jersey Real Estate Commission Regarding Deposit Checks
"It has been brought to the attention of the Commission that an increasing number of salespersons are accepting deposit checks on sales/lease transactions and are not promptly depositing those checks into their broker's special account.
N.J.A.C. 11:5-5.1 requires that licensees who have received deposit money, deposit those funds within 5 days of their receipt. Failure to do so will subject the licensee to sanctions.
If during the 5 business days an offer is withdrawn prior to acceptance or is rejected with no counteroffer, however, the licensee may return the funds in the same form in which they were received, if requested by the offerer."
