Educade In Review
Last Monday, RealSource's Professional Development Committee in conjunction with Passaic County Board of REALTORS® and West Essex Board of REALTORS® held an Educade event at Montclair State University.  The initial introduction was given by RealSource's Professional Development Committee Chair, Carmela Holt.  Speaker Chandra Hall gave insight on the topic of RESPA.  Both the class and the speaker received rave revues as members filed out of the packed conference room.  The free seminar was a sellout and all who attended will receive 3 Core CE credits. Thank you to all who attended and all who helped put together a great program!

Clearing Confusion Over PSI
As you know, the only place to go to check your CE credits is PSI: The NJ Real Estate Commission's Credit Tracking System.   It has recently come to our attention that there is some confusion over this and some misinformation being passed on.

Once you log in to the system, there will be a button in the upper right hand corner of the screen which reads "Overview Summary".  Once you click this button, a new screen will appear with a button that says "Submit".  If requirements have been met, the button that previously read "Overview Summary" will change to read "Requirements Met".   Per the NJREC, following the steps above (clicking the "Overview Summary" button followed by clicking the "Submit" button IS NOT a required step.  All credits that appear on your PSI record are already approved and recorded with the NJRECWe do think it is a good idea to follow those steps because it will let you (and your broker/manager/DR) rest assured that your requirements have been met.  However, it is not necessary.  Once you complete a class, there is nothing more you have to do on your end to receive the appropriate CE credits.

Help With Reading Your PSI Record
Reading your CE transcript via the PSI system can be tricky. We have created a diagram that we hope helps you make sense of your CE transcript.  To view the diagram, Click Here.

Michele S. Grimstad - Community Volunteer

In February, Terrie O'Connor Realtors collected cans of soup and various other items to donate to the Center for Food Action in Mahwah, in support of their 'Souper Bowl' Canned Soup Drive. The 'Souper Bowl' drive was hosted in order to help needy families in need of a hot meal this winter. The Center for Food Action provides emergency food, homelessness prevention and utility assistance to tens of thousands of individuals and families living in Northern New Jersey. Terrie O'Connor Realtors was proud to support this endeavor by the Center for Food Action by collecting dozens of cans to donate to the wonderful charity. Donations were dropped off to the Center for Food Action in Mahwah by Michele S. Grimstad, Sales Associate of Terrie O'Connor Realtors' Allendale Group (pictured with Broker/Manager, Nicolette "Nickie" Lisella, GRI).
