Outgoing President's Message Theresa Checki
Last week we met our 2013 President, Ed Thor and heard about his goals as RealSource President for the year. This week we would like to recognize Theresa Checki, our President in 2012, for all of her hard work. This is her outgoing message:
 This past year has gone by with lightning speed. It has been a year of tremendous growth for me personally, serving as your President, and hopefully for all of you as well. Continuing education has provided many wonderful learning opportunities for all of us as well as many challenges - not the least of which has been tracking our credits. However mandatory education has been a long time in returning to our area, increasing our knowledge base as well as improving our level of professionalism. Rest assured many more interesting and informative classes are on the horizon.
Gratefully our marketplace has shown some signs of improvement. I hope 2012 was a satisfying and productive year for all of you and that this upward trend, albeit a bit slow, will continue in 2013. In addition to being such an accomplished group, our Association is caring as well. As an Association, our thoughts, prayers, and generosity have gone out to those so negatively impacted by Hurricane Sandy. We will continue to support the efforts to return to normalcy. Finally, I want to thank all of you for your confidence and support through the year as well as for the opportunity to represent you as your president. I want to thank RealSource's Board of Directors for its hard work, diligence, committment to service and its wise counsel. Most importantly I want to thank Nancy McKerahan and the entire staff at RealSource for their hard work, sage advice, and efforts to make me look good. They enable all of us to be successful and productive at our craft. They are without peer! Going forward I wish all of you great success. Thank You! |

Help Checking Your CE Credits and Reading Your Transcript on PSI
As the Continuing Education deadline draws near, we recommend that you check your credits to make sure you have completed all requirements and avoid paying any fines. Again to check your credits, you must go to PSI: The Real Estate Commission's Credit Tracking System. We have created a sample transcript with tips on how to interpret it, since it is new to everyone and can be confusing.

Nickie Lisella - REALTOR® of the Year
Nicolette "Nickie" Lisella has been in real estate since 1989 and a broker since 1991. A 13-time Circle of Excellence recipient, a holder of the prestigious GRI designation, Nickie joined Terrie O'Connor, REALTORS® in 2002 and successfully opened the company's first branch in Allendale. In addition to her office management position, Nickie wrote the education manual and runs the company's new sales associate training and continuing education programs. She is a member of the New Jersey Association of REALTORS® Circle of Excellence and is presently manager of Terrie O'Connor, REALTORS® in Allendale.
Nickie is very active in the community as well. She sits on the Stewardship committee and Guardian Angel Church in Allendale and is President of the Allendale Chamber of Commerce, where she has been a Board member for the last eight years. She also is head of Allendale's "Festival Day" and served as President of the newly formed Allendale / Saddle River Rotary Club. Nickie is collecting items for our troops in Afghanistan, notably for Allendale resident Jay Blondin.
