Free Autism Awareness Training for Schools

AZA United's Peer Autism Awareness Program is FREE and helps elementary, middle and high school (3rd to 12th grades) students become more aware of the challenges that students with autism can face. For students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade the program offers strategies, activities and resources for teachers to enhance peer autism awareness in their classrooms. The goal of the Peer Autism Awareness Program is to encourage students to accept, include and support their peers with autism in school and after-school activities.  This awareness program gives students the opportunity to learn about autism and encourages inclusive relationships between all students.

This program combines an interactive presentation for students and a DVD featuring students with autism talking about their challenges.  It is also designed to support or complement any anti-bullying program that might already be in place. The Peer Autism Awareness Program is being offered now to schools in Maricopa County FREE of charge for a limited time, thanks to the generous grant support of some amazing funders and sponsors.

School staff or parents of children with autism who are interested in this program may contact Linda Kraynak, Autism Awareness Trainer, at (480) 220-5588 or [email protected].  Contact us now to get your classroom presentation scheduled!
