MCH Navigator Webinar: An Online Resource for Local Health Departments

The Maternal and Child Health Bureau's MCH Navigator is a new learning portal that facilitates the use of existing open-access training and is organized in areas consistent with nationally endorsed public health and MCH leadership competencies. On Oct. 23 (3:00-4:00 PM EDT), NACCHO will host an interactive webinar on how local health departments can use this resource.

NACCHO Model Practices 2013

NACCHO is accepting Model Practices applications through Oct. 31. Since 2003, NACCHO's Model Practices Program has recognized and shared outstanding local public health practices through the Model Practices Database. Submit a practice and contribute to the overall improvement of public health through evidence-based methods. For more information, contact the Model Practices team at practices@naccho.org.

Healthy Steps for Healthy Lives

Compendium of NACCHO Policy Statements

NACCHO recently updated its compendium of policy recommendations to reflect policy statements approved by the board of directors or revised since August 2011.
NACCHO and local health department leaders use policy statements to educate and urge action by federal and state officials, partner organizations, the media, and the public.
