Our majestic Teton Valley mountain tops have become capped with snow; a sign the holiday season is fast approaching.  With this in mind, many of us will be traveling to visit faraway family and friends, including our fitness instructors.  During the months of November and December there will be fitness class cancellations and instructor substitutions to allow our instructors time away to visit loved ones. Class cancellations will be posted on the Dreamchasers Facebook page, the MindBody online class schedule, in the fitness center and in our weekly newsletter.  Instructor substitutions are noted in the MindBody online class schedule.  Please take a moment and note these dates on your calendar.

Rundezvous Running Club


Congratulations to all of the participants of the 2013 Rundezvous Running Club.  The Rundezvous Running Club is a free running club offered to all 4th - 5th graders.  The group meets once a week August through October to learn the basics of running and to run as a group.  At the end of the season each club member participates in a 1-mile or 5k running event to showcase their new skills and hard work.  This year's event was held on Monday, October 28th, and although the fall chill had settled in, the group braved the conditions and gave it their all!  


Thank you to the parents, volunteers, families and friends that provided each child with the support they needed to succeed in the Rundezvous running club program.  A special thanks to Shelli Streit who donates her time and efforts to make this great program a possibility.   

Baked Oatmeal with Pumpkin and

This week's recipe brought to you by

Baked Oatmeal with Pumpkin and Bananas


  • 3 medium ripe bananas, (the riper the better) sliced into 1/2" pieces
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 cup uncooked quick oats
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 cup fat free milk (or any milk you desire)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract


Preheat the oven to 375 F.  Lightly spray a 8 x 8" or 9 x 9" ceramic baking dish with cooking spray; set aside.

Arrange the banana slices in a single layer on the bottom of the ceramic dish. Sprinkle 1/4 tsp of the cinnamon, honey and cover with foil. Bake 15 minutes, until the bananas get soft.

Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, combine the oats, half of nuts, baking powder, remaining cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, nutmeg and salt; stir together.  In a separate bowl, whisk together the pumpkin, brown sugar, milk, egg, and vanilla extract.

Remove the bananas from the oven, then pour the oat mixture over the bananas.

Pour the pumpkin mixture over the oats, making sure to distribute the mixture as evenly as possible.  Sprinkle the remaining nuts over the the top.

Bake the oatmeal for about 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the oatmeal has set. Serve warm from the oven.
