Welcome to our new personal trainer Julie Bryan.  Julie Bryan is a former USA Mountain Running Team Member and offers training for all levels of running and strength conditioning.  Julie will be competing in the 2013 Marathon des Sables as will our own Jay Batchen!

TETON TRAINING CAMP
For information about our October 2013 Running/Fitness camp with Lisa Smith-Batchen, Marshall Ulrich, Ray Zahab and Julie Bryan.

Ingredients:
4 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon honey
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/4 cup sliced green onions
4 cloves garlic, minced
12 ounces cooked shrimp, tails removed
Directions:
1.In a bowl, stir together water, ketchup, soy sauce, cornstarch, honey, crushed red pepper, and ground ginger. Set aside.
2.Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Stir in green onions and garlic; cook 30 seconds. Stir in shrimp, and toss to coat with oil. Stir in sauce. Cook and stir until sauce is bubbly and thickened.

The Marathon des Sables is in April and fast approaching!
 Whether you are training for the Marathon des Sables or are simply wanting a fantastic trail run during the     winter, Teton  Valley, Idaho has it all.  Running in the snow simulates sand and is an exceptional training tool for    endurance, leg muscles and cardio.  Typically there is an inversion as you climb. Okay, it is true you won't get to 120 degrees like the Sahara, but you will be comfortable with the right clothes.  In fact, often you find with elevation, the hats and gloves are taken off and it is almost like a Summer day!
