We would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your families a healthy and happy New Year! Thank you so much for your support during the last year and all prior years. We are extremely lucky to have such wonderful, loyal customers and we hope to continue helping you with your quilting needs for many more years!

Sewfie Update

Wow! We tallied up the beautiful quilts Sewfie has quilted and came up with nearly 2,000! Thank you for trusting us with your treasures!

Sewfie is on vacation now through January 5 and will not be accepting any more quilts until January 6. There will be a minor change in prices in the New Year. Sewfie has demanded a 1/4 of a cent raise per square inch. Due to the rising cost of thread and other quilting supplies, we have agreed to her demands! Starting January 1 the price per square inch for longarm quilting will increase from $.025 to $.0275. Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to seeing more of your beautiful creations!

Quilts from El's Kitchen Block of the Month

Paula and Julie will begin their fifth block of the month quilt together in January. This year's inspiring quilt comes from Eleanor Burns' newest book, Quilts from El's Kitchen. All 17 quilt blocks are "traditional"-some are easy and familiar to sew, while others have a new skill to learn. You can choose to make your quilt with 12 inch blocks (96" x 96" finished) or 6 inch blocks (50" x 50" finished), and a number of border options are included. Our sample showcases 12" blocks in cheery reproduction fabrics from the 1930's, but the pattern lends itself to any variety of fabric styles (many different fabric options are pictured in the book) and is fat quarter friendly. Each block has a simple recipe to go along with it which calls for just a few ingredients and basic skills to serve up! Please see our website for more details.

Pumpkin Hill Block of the Month

There is nothing that says Autumn more than pumpkins, bushy tailed squirrels, acorns and golden leaves. Come make Anne Sutton's Pumpkin Hill Block of the Month starting in January. You will do mostly machine applique with some pieced blocks. When finished, you will have a beautiful 56 x 64 inch quilt to enjoy every Autumn! Please visit our website for more information.

Stella continues to be popular and now the desktop model has a companion in the shop! StellaEDGE (clamps on to the edge of the table) has arrived! Hampton Ridge Block of the Month

Did you know that the Hampton Ridge BOM is also available independent of the class?

A class for a BOM is the easiest and most fun way to quilt is with fellow quilters who share similar interests! It's not too late to sign up for the class. Join Louise each month as we sew our way through a glorious fabric collection by Paula Barnes. Perfect your piecing skills each month as we learn new tips and techniques to enhance your quilting knowledge as Louise guides you through the forty-one 5" blocks that create this 88" square Civil War Era replica. Class breaks down each month's blocks into manageable, doable steps. A kit containing your fabric and pattern will be ready for you each month. Classes typically meet on the last Wednesday of each month (with some exceptions).
