In the course of transitioning to a new credit card processing vendor, it has just come to our attention that an error occurred on May 16 in that none of the credit card charges that we ran on that date were ever charged to customers' accounts. Consequently our credit card provider is reprocessing these charges. Therefore, if you used your credit card in the Granary on that date, the amount of that charge will appear in your recent transactions. A very small number of customers were impacted. We apologize for the confusion. Please contact Paula at the shop should you have any questions or concerns.

Ready to get back to school (quilting school that is)?! The class schedule has been updated on our website through December! Take some time to peruse it soon as several of the classes will fill quickly...you don't want to be left out! You'll want to check out our new Block of the Month, Hampton Ridge, from Marcus Fabrics. Our shop sample, made by Louise Horkey, is BEAUTIFUL! Be sure to read this entire email for the Hampton Ridge details as well as information about an upcoming in store retreat! The downloadable version of our newsletter will be available in the next couple of weeks. There are more surprises in store for you so keep reading your emails!

Stella Lighting

Stella continues to be popular! We're so excited to offer this new light at The Granary. We know you're going to love it (and your eyes will be forever grateful!). Stop by the shop and see just how wonderful Stella is. We have a light displayed in our classroom for you to experiment with! Visit Stella's website for more information.

Hampton Ridge Block of the Month Class

The easiest and most fun way to quilt is with fellow quilters who share similar interests! Join Louise each month as we sew our way through a glorious fabric collection by Paula Barnes. Perfect your piecing skills each month as we learn new tips and techniques to enhance your quilting knowledge as Louise guides you through the forty-one 5" blocks that create this 88" square Civil War Era replica. Class breaks down each month's blocks into manageable, doable steps. A kit containing your fabric and pattern will be ready for you each month. Classes typically meet on the last Wednesday of each month (with some exceptions).

One-time class fee of $110 for 12-month program
Monthly kit fee $25
Please note this program is non-cancelable and non-refundable.

Granary Getaway

Wanna getaway? You won't need to go far ... just to the Granary! Start your Holiday Season off on a productive and creative foot and join Paula & Jody for an open sewing quilt camp right here in the store. Paula & Jody will be your hostesses for three days of uninterrupted sewing on those projects you've been dying to start or finish. They will be happy to be your pressing princesses or ripping wenches or provide guidance as needed. In addition, a few small projects will be presented during the 3 day camp; you can choose to participate in a "mini class" for these quick and simple projects or opt out and continue working on your projects of choice--either way, you'll receive the patterns. Bring your lunch and your quilting supplies and be prepared to sew--think how great you'll feel when you leave camp with some of your Holiday projects DONE! Lunch will be provided by the Granary on Saturday. Sign up quick as space is limited. Advanced beginners and above are welcome.

Quilt Appraisal

Do you have a special quilt you've wanted to have appraised? Here's your chance! Nancy Bavor, American Quilter's Society Certified Appraiser of quilted textiles, will be in the shop on Tuesday, September 24 and Tuesday, October 22 from 10:30am-5:30pm for quilt appraisals. Please call or stop by to make your appointment. Appraisals are $45 per quilt - appointments are scheduled in 30 minute increments.

To the left is the quilt Jody created using July's strip set and the pattern "Chain Letter" by Cozy Quilt Designs. Stop by the shop for your strip set and pattern before they vanish!

Anka's Treasures Trunk Show

Stop by the shop soon to see the quilts from Heather Mulder Peterson's book "Little Quilts 4 Little Kids". We are fortunate enough to have quite a few quilts featured in the book! The patterns range from traditional to modern and include all skill levels. We know you'll be inspired to create your own "little" quilt!
