And we invite you to join us, through this Annual Appeal, in pursuit of our mission. We aim to be THE creative spot for the shoreline, to provide opportunities for community members to experience the process and products of creating art.
Our supporters' contributions enable us to provide dynamic programming for our wide span of community artists, from young to not-so-young, from absolute beginners to passionate practitioners. We have classes and workshops in pottery, metalsmithing, painting, drawing, weaving, sewing and more. We have a full blacksmith's forge and stone carving area. Our after-school and summer classes for kids are happily-thronged. Our collaborations within the community, with school groups, PTA, senior centers, and through free class offerings, are a vital aspect of our mission.
The Center is also known and beloved for Craft Expo on the Guilford Green, which just marked its 55th year, and our Artistry Holiday Sale; both of which celebrate and support the work of American artisans. Our gallery features juried and invitational exhibits and is free to the public seven days week, as is our shopSPACE of contemporary American craft.
Contributions to the Center's Annual Appeal support these programs and more; and, very importantly, they help to keep class tuitions affordable. Other ways your contributions may be used include:
$50: supplies for a free community class $100: support for an after school program $250: support for gallery/event opening reception $500: equipment purchase (kiln, blacksmith supplies, etc.)
