A Christ-Modeled Step in Launching Fall Programs

A sleepless night preceded Jesus' apostleship program launch. Maybe you've had a few sleepless nights before kicking off a church program or event. Right now many are excitedly counting down to a Fall preaching schedule, ministry plan, or outreach program.

But Jesus' sleepless night was not tossing and turning, or making last minute improvements. Rather, He was deliberately dialoging with His Father on a mountainside in prayer.

Then, in the morning, He appointed the twelve whom He called apostles. What followed was an unparalleled internship that developed eleven men to be a part of a Spirit-led movement revolutionizing the world of that day and extending to life change in your church today!

Yes, the results of Jesus' apostleship program are impressive, but it's the beginning we need to recapture today: One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God (Luke 6:12).

I invite you to steal away time this week (today?!) to pray for Spirit-led, world-changing programs lifting off this month.

A new resource for CPW pastors...

We are pleased to announce that Converge PacWest (CPW) has joined with QuietWaters Ministries to bring you the CareLine.

The CareLine is a professional and confidential consulting resource for Converge PacWest pastors and their families, provided free of charge. Twelve (12) hours a day, seven (7) days a week, the CareLine answering service puts you in contact with one of QuietWaters' licensed, doctor or master level counselors with personal experience in ministry to talk about a personal or congregational issue. The counselors provide assessment, consultation and referral when you have personal, congregational, or ministry concerns and problems. You simply call the toll-free number 888-814-5550.

Examples of when to use the CareLine:
