John and Tiffany Markum
have been dreaming about planting a church in San Jose for 8 years! They just arrived to begin to plant LifeCity Church in the Santa Clara/Sunnyvale area of San Jose. Two more couples and two individuals have moved to plant with them to reach the 3rd largest metro area in California!

Calvary Baptist Church in Turlock, has brought Juan and Josie Alaníz on, to plant a Spanish Speaking Congregation. The Fresno Lead Team is partnering with them. They are having preview events this summer and plan to launch in the fall. Juan has also developed a strong ministry partnership with churches in Baja, Mexico. Lee and Evelina Miller
are preparing to plant New City Church in Daly City, CA. Lee, a native of the Bay area, is finishing his degree at Western Seminary. He is leaving his ministry, a large multi-site church on the peninsula, to plant with CPW. Lee is part of the Bay Area Lead Team. Four of our CPW churches are in the process of exploring or starting Multi-site campuses as a way of expanding their mission. NorCal Church Planter Assessment:
East Valley Church, San Jose
on October 29-November 1
We have discovered that our best Assessment Center outcomes happen when we have a local Assessment in our own context, with local assessors. We are excited to work with East Valley Church in San Jose.
