One Message, One Mission
|
I have had one message for  Jews and Greeks alike-the necessity of repenting from sin and turning to God, and of having faith in our Lord Jesus.... My life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus-the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God. (Paul in Acts 20:21,24)
Paul's words are clear and compelling.
And Paul's words will be ours if we constantly immerse ourselves in and re-live the reality of the message, allowing ourselves to be overwhelmed by His love and with gratitude for our Savior's sacrifice. With this spiritual posture, the Spirit will fill us with the message and set us on mission. Not surprisingly, when the disciples in the book of Acts were filled with the Spirit, they spoke -- boldly, freely, with power!
I pray the message and its Hero will be more than our minds and hearts can contain, so we will not be able to stop speaking the name or living out the love of Jesus!

 Pastor Ernie Cabrera (left) was unanimously voted in as Lead Pastor of Ignite Community Church in Elk Grove. Congratulations to both pastor and church!
Bay Farm Community Church in Alameda successfully hosted the most recent Church Planter's Assessment Center (see picture at very top). Five couples were assessed, which will help us to effectively plant transformational churches!
 Seven CPW leadership couples (right) had the opportunity to meet and collaborate with Converge Worldwide leaders Doug & Donna Fagerstrom, and Aaron & Sadee Van Ruler last weekend. Some great connections were made!

| Prayer -- and Praises -- for CPW Prayer Day, Tuesday, November 13 |
 Pastor Craig Selness, from Cornerstone Community Church in San Jose, is struggling in his recovery from his most recent hip surgery. Lift up our brother in prayer, and email him a word of encouragement if you like. Berryessa Valley in San Jose has elected a Temporary Leadership Team and is moving forward in selecting an Interim Pastor. Pray for that process and the church as they follow Christ and chart a course for future Kingdom impact. Pray that CPW, our churches and leaders, will be consumed by the one message and mission of gospel living and gospel proclamation. We are grateful and overjoyed that two major CPW events, the Church Planter Assessment Center and the Making Disciple Training, were well supported, attended, and received.
